MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to all OKU people and all other persons who adhere to the values and aspirations of the association.
Membership shall be ascertained by the possession of a current
membership card and contribution card of the Association.
Article 10: LOSS OF MEMBERSHIP
i) Membership of the Association may be lost through:
a) Persistent violation of this constitution;
b) Gross and persistent misconduct;
c) Gross disrespect for the throne;
d) Voluntary withdrawal; or
e) Death.
li) The decision to strip a member of his/her membership shall be taken by the
General Assembly upon the proposal of the National Executive Committee;
iii) For cases of emergency and in the interest of the Association, however the
National Executive Committee may suspend a member pending the General
Assembly’s decision.
iv) Persons who lose their membership may be pursued for any debts to the
Association, notwithstanding the possibility of legal action against them for any
impropriety.
OBLIGATIONS
The following shall be the obligations of OCDA
members:
i) Abide by all the provisions of this constitution;
ii) Be morally upright and respectful of other members of the Association;
iii) Show respect for traditional authority;
iv) Abide by all the decisions of the General Assembly; and
v) Be prepared to represent the Association or Branch wherever and
whenever necessary.
